So, it's been a week... and a lot has happened.
Noah did get his pelvis x fix off, trach out, mouth unwired, peg tube out, pic line removed and had a small thumb tendon transfer last Tuesday. WOW ! How amazing is that ?
He continues to have pain in the right arm that has now moved from the elbow to the hand. We have 2 appointments set up for additional opinions / options. We are not giving up.
Today Noah had an appointment for his right knee. Falling out of the bed sure did mess him up even more. He has torn his PCL, possibly his meniscus and the tendons on the outside skirts of the knee. He is wearing a knee / leg brace to keep it from unnecessary movement
( and it works ) and any additional damage. He will have surgery at the end of the month to fix this. The non bearing recovery time is 6 weeks, the actual recovery time could take up to one year.
Even with all of this, Noah has started some therapy at his current hospital. He is sitting up in the bed ( with no help ), he is standing and walking a few steps and he is eating anything he is craving. SO SO AWESOME.
We will find out more tomorrow as for the next steps to his rehab hospital and the length of stay there ( so far we have heard about 21 days ).
Noah also continues to laugh, smile, be appreciative and thoughtful with all the nurses that he has throughout the day and evenings. He has a contagious smile and everyone just loves visiting him.
Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
