It's been a long week, snow, ice, rain and cold weather. I hope you all have weathered the past week ( get it weathered ).
Tomorrow is a BIG day for Noah. He is scheduled to have his pelvis x fix removed, his mouth unwired ( not sure if that is the correct wording ), a left thumb tendon transfer and a a knee procedure. If the trach and peg tube are not removed during this surgery ( time permitting ), they will be removed on Wednesday AM at Noah's bedside ( Noah was not liking this ).
His PCL in the right knee was torn when he fell out of the bed. This was just recently noticed while Mike and I were at the hospital visiting and noticed the swelling. It is a small procedure, but has to be done in for Noah to have full weight bearing on the right leg.
We continue to look for other medical views / opinions on Noah's right arm. The visit last week did not prove to be as promising as we had wished. With all Noah has already been through, the only pain he has is this right arm that seems to be " dead ". The Doctor has said that Noah has torn all the nerves from the spine down to the fingertips. A nerve transfer " may " be an option, but not optimistic of the final results. There have been many days and nights that we have spent with Noah and he has always been optimistic, grateful and humorous at times. We try to remind him just how far he has come since December 13th, but for any 23 year old, you need both arms to function.
We are asking for specific prayers for Noah mentally, physically and spiritually. We are asking for specific prayers for Noah's right shoulder, arm and hand.
Jeremiah 33:6
Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them; and I will reveal to them an abundance of peace and truth.
